"One of our blinds needed restringing and since we purchased them twelve years ago from a small vendor, I knew I had a problem when my calls weren't being returned. I was at a loss as to what to do next since I called several blind companies and was told that if I did not purchase from them, they could not help. Was I to buy new blinds for such a simple fix? Apart from a frayed string, they were in perfect condition.

 

I continued with my internet research and stumbled across Broadway Cleaners. This dry cleaning service located in Redwood City offers a variety of specialized services and restringing blinds is one of them. Who would have known?

 

Pedro told me that it would cost $85 for a service call, i.e. to have him come out to our home, take the blinds down, restring and return them. We could easily save this fee if we brought them into the shop ourselves. So, I arranged a time to call Pedro where he would step my husband and I through the process. Despite his help, we could not release the bracket (ours opened outwards and not downwards as it turned out). Luckily we lived close and being a really nice guy Pedro jumped into his car and took them down for us and waived the service fee. All I had to do was pick them up, and having seen how the bracket worked putting them up again was not a problem.

I would highly recommend Broadway Cleaners! All in all, the process was inexpensive and painless. The hardest part was the internet research to find them."

Pedro came out, measured, ordered the blinds and came back to install them within the time frame he had given us.  When we needed a custom sized wood valance over our bedroom window, we naturally called on Pedro again and once more we were very pleased with the work he did. "My first time using Broadway cleaners on some 12 yr old Roman Shades that needed new strings and cleaning.   Broadway was unable to re-string the blinds for me because they didnt have the proper parts,  the shades were sold old.    What happen next is what I call outstanding customer service going above and beyond for the customer.

 

Pedro from Broadway Cleaners called me asked me if these were customs made blinds,  they were,  he said he wanted to make a phone call and get back to me.

 

To my surprise Pedro called Levolor and gave them my information and found that my blinds were covered under warranty because the parts to restring were no longer available.  Pedro got me NEW FREE BLINDS after 12years,on his own initiative, no one asked him to, he did it to HELP a customer!!   I was astonished,  seriously in today society normally I am met by customers service people who have the attitude that I am privileged to business with their establishment,  but here was someone OLD SCHOOL,  who knew the value of a  customer,   who under stood if there were no customers there was no business.

 

I have been telling two, three and four friends of the quality of service I received from Pedro and Broadway Cleaners   I just installed my new blinds and they look beautiful and fresh...."

I loved this cleaner !

I am so happy to have found them on YELP. Their service is great. Where else are you going to find someone who cleans, presses and checks your clothing for missing buttons or loose hems. When I took my cleaning to them I never had to worry when going out I knew my clothing was ready to go when I was. They also do a great job on drapery cleaning.

I have moved from the bay area to Northern CA but I still do business with them."
